It’s been a while, for the last two years I have been focused on growing Hatchet Brewing as Head Brewer. Things have gone well, we have nearly doubled production year over year. We are working to open a second taproom in Selma, NC. We have partnered with Healy for distribution around Fayetteville and surrounding counties. We have self distribution to the Triangle making inroads. Lastly I have been made Chief Operating Officer and an Owner.

All of this leads to me trying to change my focus to more strategic and less time on the brewdeck. To start this I have been thinking what should Hatchet be working towards in the next 5 years and what we will need to get there.

So what does this mean for this place? I have been thinking about getting back to writing as part of thinking strategically, not to promise because it’s the oldest story to say one will get back to writing and then looking at a blog without updates for months.

Life doesn’t come with certainty but death, but as long as we are here let’s push on forward and make the best of the day.
